^{Another Styx world creature! This a species related to the Styx but very different in nature. Osphix are very intelligent, language-speaking carnivores who will viciously kill and devour basically any creature they please, including humans. The Styx are the only creatures they refuse to hunt, thinking of them as blood relatives. Unlike the Styx, they are uncivilized and live in groups in the wild. They are extremely sensitive to magic to the point that they must put gauges in their ears made out of a compound that is able to contain and control magic in the atmosphere. If a child was born and was not given these special gauges, it would die within hours from an "overdose" of magic.

These creatures are neither male nor female - or rather, they are both. When two individuals fall in love, they perform a mating ritual that ends in one of the pair gaining male reproductive organs and the other gaining female reproductive organs. After the actual mating, the Osphix with male organs loses them - and once the one with female organs has its child, the organs no longer work and are shed. After that, they can switch roles (the one with the male organs gains female organs and vise-versa) by repeating the ritual. Once an individual Osphix has performed both mating roles, it is barren and can have no other children. Therefore, a pair of Osphix never have more than two children.
